Juvenile Delinquency: Amenability to Treatment and Risk Assessment

My research team continues to study the relationship of various factors upon treatment response and subsequent recidivism with juvenile offenders. For example, recent studies in progress are investigating additional personality factors related to juvenile sex offender treatment response and recidivism, such as locus of control (Page & Scalora, in press), treatment response indicators, and sensation seeking (sexual and otherwise) as well as the presnece of co-morbid conditions with juvenile sex offenders (e.g., Page & Scalora, 2002).

In addition, the team is gaining access to outcome data comparing the effectiveness of various community-based approaches to juevenile offenders managed within several rural Nebraska counties.
